VAIO Corporation is announcing the VAIO Phone Biz and it is made out of aluminium, and features a 5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 617 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, microSD slot (up to 64GB), 13MP camera, LTE connectivity (bands 1,3,8,19,21), Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.0, and a 2800mAh battery. Although the phone doesn't feature Qualcomm's latest hardware, it supports Continuum.
Continuum is one of Microsoft's signature features in Windows 10 where the user interface can adapt automatically depending on the situation. For example, on a Surface Pro 3, Windows 10 will default to desktop mode with the keyboard attached and will then switch to tablet mode when you remove it.
The Phone Biz will be available for purchase from April for ¥50,000 ($424) for the SIM-free version.
VAIO is partnering with NTT Docomo (Japan) to offer carrier variants.
