Is Microsoft working in a stylus that can sense real world colors and be transported to a digital display?

The most innovations companies work on, the more useful thing the consumers will have. In this case Microsoft might be still working on a stylus that can sense the real world colors and be transported/translated to a digital display.

As the patent was presented in 2014 we are not sure is this work by Microsoft will see the daylight some day in the near future.

The pictures below explain by themselves clearly how it will work: The stylus tip captures/senses the colors of the flower and the leaves and transport/translate them to a digital display.
