Is the HP Discovery 2011 June 6-10 the event for the TouchPad and Pre 3 launch announcements ?

The HP webOS TouchPad launch is set for  June

HP is holding a new event for June 6-8 in Las Vegas:

The HP Discovery 2011: The power of people , technology and ideas, IMHO might be the perfect scenario to announce the launch of the TouchPad and the Pre3. The original Pre was launched on June 6, 2009.

However is a KEYNOTE ANNOUNCEMENT where the HP President and Chief Executive Officer, Léo Apotheker will be live! (The perfect forum to meet our new CEO.)

But we know that in the last HP summit of March 14th that supposed to be just an HP strategy keynote, Leo said the Touchpad launch is for June, so I won´t be surprised if what I said above happens.

MWC 2011 :Motorola XOMM, HP Touchpad, Blackberry Playbook, MeeGo OS. BBC UK makes a short walk through to most prominent tablets PCs at Mobile Congress 2011 in Barcelona.


The Motorola XOOM looks a nice live widgets and a better Youtube experience. A device with no buttons around the frame.


You can see a very much improved tab to share feature on the HP TouchPad  when the Pre3 url site loaded very fast compared to before demos.


One thing I noticed on the BB Playbook is now the flip out card swipe. It looks very much almost a full replicate of HP webOS, The difference is the 3G connection between the BB Playbook and the BB Torch smartphone made  on the  email push, field always where BB is specialized.

HP TouchPad Tap to share with the HP Pre3

BGR  reported that his sources say the HP TouchPad will launch as early as June with a $699 price tag. It’s not clear if this is a 3G model and whether it is the 16GB or 32GB model.

The 16GB WiFi iPad retails for $499, while the Motorola XOOM is rumored to be priced at $799. Details regarding the XOOM are also still vague.

What if: $499-16GB wifi, $599-32 GB wifi, $599 16GB 3/4G, $699 32 GB 3/4G
