The HP webOS Veer is the new smartphone benchmark for this age. Features phones to disappear.

WorldWide Tech & Science. Francisco De Jesús.

Maybe someone didn´t  notice yet. But believe or not we are on the age of the internet/cloud. Everything you do for your daily life is internet connected and some of your information is cloud saved. You can shop, blog, chat, e-mail, go social, view and edit documents, save them on cloud services, read e-books, take pictures, stream music live, shoot a video, edit it and post it on youtube.

You don´t need a big screen smartphone to do that.

In this time when the tablets are in the boom , and where you can have all the above stuff on a bigger display screen like them , you won´t need a high ended smartphone but a powerful enough.

In a recent analysis made by Gartner they said:

“The majority of the impact will be from 7-inch media tablets on high-end smartphones as it will be hard for a user to justify owning both when the differentiation in usage model is very limited. Users buying a 7-inch tablet might opt for a lower priced smartphone with a smaller form factor.”

We found then that the HP webOS Veer smartphone is the smaller form factor powerful enough to fulfill the trend requirements of this time. Watch this info-commercial review video made by  SKY TV-s Mark Bunting, which shows you how useful the Veer is.

The Veer works perfect for your daily life. Don´t you think ?

Features phones to disappear.
The features phones  as we know , will start to disappear from the market . The internet/cloud based smartphones  are now ruling the user needs.

The impact of the new networks operators speeds going to 4G LTE worldwide will take on the features phones, and accelerate their disappearance in short  time.

HSPA/HSPA+
A basic smartphone has to have at least HSPA/HSPA+  capabilities to be compatible to the actual  wave of  changing to higher speeds  by the worldwide operators networks.

Pixi applications on the Veer.
There are around 7000 webOS applications now available  for the Pixi that can perfectly run on the Veer.

Touch to Share.
A webOS OTA (over the air) update for the Veer will enable the tap to share ability to interact with the TouchPad as the Pre3 does.

Veer Features:
·         Messaging
·         Web
·         Email
·         Contacts
·         Calendar
·         GPS & Maps
·         Video capture
·         Camera
·         Music
·         Amazon MP3 store
·         Bluetooth
·         Wi-Fi
·         YouTube
·         Mobile hotspot
·         Touchstone
·         Tasks & Memos

·         Text, multimedia, Google Talk, AIM, and more.
HP webOS combines your messaging conversations with one person in the same view. Which means you can start chatting in, say, AIM, and then pick up the conversation later in Google Talk or even as a text message. With HP, you only have to think about what to say—not where to say it.1

·         Turn a text message into a phone call.
You can place a phone call from Messaging by tapping the header in the conversation thread. It displays a list of all the numbers you have for that contact, which makes it simple to talk when you have more than you can say in a text.

webOS Connected Devices: A Look at HP's Strategy

As Stephen DeWitt, the senior vice president and general manager of HP’s Personal Systems Group in the Americas, notes, “your applications, your content, the things that are of value to you have to be presented to you on the right form factor, in the right place, at the right time. That, in essence, is what webOS is all about.”

We think then, the HP webOS Veer form factor, will be the world´s smartphone of this internet/ cloud age, to follow.
