Quanta Computer has obtained orders for servers from Facebook, with shipments to begin in the third quarter of 2011, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report.
Quanta declined to comment.
Facebook will use the servers at a new data center to be constructed in North Carolina, EDN indicated
