The WSJ agreed with us that the OS was never given a real chance to mature. The poor hardware killed the opportunity for the elegant and easy to use webOS.
We really hope HP will ready in short time webOS to open source it, for hardware manufacturers worldwide.

The return of HP's WebOSAfter killing it off along with their TouchPad tablet, HP announced in early December that WebOS would be given to the open source community, meaning hardware manufacturers could choose to use it on their own devices instead of, say, Android. I'm rooting for a healthy second life, as it was an elegant, easy-to-use operating system for smartphones and tablets that was never given a real chance.
