Verizon: 4G LTE USB modems upcoming. $99,99.

December 5, 2010 Verizon will launch the 4G LTE network with the following usb modems at $99,99.-




LTE modems coming to Verizon. The LG VL600 and Pantech UML290 should be available for sale relatively soon to meet Verizon’s deadline of having useable LTE in 38 cities by the end of the year. As far as the hardware goes, the LG VL600 is a dual-mode CDMA/LTE unit while the UML290 by Pantech claims “global” compatibility.


FCC documents confirm the VL600 will work on the 700MHz LTE band, along with the 800MHz and 1,900MHz EVDO bands.

Both:

·         Windows 7 compatible.

·         Mobile Broadband capable.

·         Type A USB port compatible.
·         No CD required for installation.
·         Supports windows 2000, XP, Vista, Mac Os x90 4 tiger, Leopard, Linux.
·         Removable Memory up to 8 GB.
·         High Performance. Internal Antenna.
