HP obtains patent for a flip phone (clamshell design).

HP has filed a patent application for a new clamshell-type folding phone like the Motorola Razr flip and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip.

Some photos of what this new HP product could possibly look like have been posted by the German site LETS GO DIGITAL.

It is not known what type of Operating System could be incorporated into that new folding smartphone.

The last phone that HP sold was the Elite X3 in 2016 with Windows Mobile OS, which could be connected to your PC.

In February 2019, HP filed the patent with the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO). The patent called Electronic Display Devices was approved on August 13, 2020 and describes the technology required to implement a flexible electronic display in mobiles, such as phones, tablets, or computers.

Will this HP project see the light?
