Artificial Life app hits 58 million downloads.

App developer Artificial Life said that, as of 31 March 2011, its accumulated download total had passed 58 million across its products for iOS, Android, WP7 and Java. 

The company has produced and released 36 applications for iOS, with the most successful (but unnamed) title downloaded more than 7.45 million times, and the second and third receiving 3.63 and 3.61 million downloads respectively. Its paid iPhone games were priced at US$0.99–US$4.99, with the average price working out at US$1.43.

According to the company, of the products offered for Apple devices, 26 are based on licensed and branded intellectual property from a variety of partners, while 10 are based on its proprietary intellectual property. Currently, Artificial Life offers 18 applications free-to-play, 2 games with in-app purchases, and 3 with in-app advertisements.

Its games have been sold in a total of 90 countries worldwide, with titles reaching the number-one spot in 74 of these. In terms of regions, 43 percent of downloads were in North America, followed by 34 percent in Europe and Africa. 

As for individual countries, the US led the way with 39 percent of downloads, followed by the UK, France, Germany, and Canada (with 10 percent, 5 percent, 5 percent and 4 percent of downloads respectively).

The company’s plans for this platform include more than 30 titles, including a mix of consumer and business products, and with an increased emphasis on the Chinese market.
