Samsung picks up KDDI LTE deal
Samsung said it was awarded a contract to supply LTE equipment to Japanese number-two operator KDDI, with the intention to launch commercial services in 2012.

Samsung has worked with KDDI in the CDMA market since 2002, and it has also supplied WiMAX equipment to UQ Communications, a KDDI affiliate.
