New iPhone  facing supply new connector shortages and low production of the in-cell touch panels. Shipments forecast  to fall in Q3 2012

According to  Digitimes  Projected shipments of a new iPhone in the third quarter of 2012 are likely to fall below 15 million units compared to 20 million units forecast previously due to low yield rates in the production of in-cell touch panels as well as a connector at the bottom of the phone

The latest rumors indicate that Apple has recently redesigned a connector at the bottom of the new iPhone and that yield rates of the new connectors at Foxconn International Holdings (FIH) have been low due in part to insufficient supply of some key materials.

However, the new iPhone shipments will make a turn up in the 4Q 2012,  as well as in the first half of 2013,
