LTE: Russia: Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) launches LTE FDD network in Tambov.
Russian
mobile operator Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) has announced the commercial
launch of its LTE FDD network in Tambov and the Tambov region. Operator
is currently rolling-out LTE networks throughout Russia and plans to
over around 600 population centers of the Russian Federation by the end
of 2014 .
MTS
has deployed LTE networks covering the whole territory of Tambov and
plans to further double the number of base stations in the city by the
end of 2013. MTS will also extend coverage to additional population
centers of the Tambov region.
Previously, MTS has launched commercial LTE TDD and FDD networks in Moscow.
