Video content transcript:

We've talked about it before, but the adoption rate of tablets in the United States has continued to climb. As of September of last year, 35 percent of Americans owned a tablet, a ten percent increase from the previous year. And it makes sense as tablets represent the fusion of a laptop and your mobile device -- easy functionality and access.

But a Tablet wouldn't be of much use without software and this is where Intel has caught our attention. Intel works with software partners all over the world to develop apps for Android and Windows 8 tablets with Intel Atom processors. Want to "try before you download?" Intel has software Showcases providing end users a "sneak peak" preview of an app before downloading it.

Take the insanely popular iHeartRadio app that's featured on Intel's Tablet showcase. With this all-in-one free app, you can listen to your favorite live stations from anywhere in the Country or create your own from more than 18 million songs and 450,000 artists.

iHeartRadio also has an activity-based recommendation system that offers listeners stations that are "Perfect For" any mood or occasion. It's an incredibly powerful app that is widely considered one of the best streaming apps on the market. Another hot app is ooVoo, a video chat and messaging app that is a featured partner on the Android showcase.

With ooVoo you can make FREE group video calls with up to 12 friends and family members, voice calls, send video messages and text chats. ooVoo works on 3G, 4G, LTE and Wifi. And with over 95+ million people on it...it's easy to sign up and find your friends.

Now to download either of these apps today and find other apps that works great with an Intel enabled Windows 8.1 tablet, or Android device, head to http://software.intel.com/tabletapps for the Windows Tablet showcase or http://software.intel.com/androidapps for the Android showcase.
