After the successful French
launch of its smartphone for seniors, KAPSYS is ready to begin European
distribution of its smartphone for people with low or impaired vision.
SmartConnect by KAPSYS, an easy-to-use smartphone
intended for seniors, will now be distributed throughout France via large
retailers like BOULANGER.
Starting in March, SmartVision by KAPSYS, a voice-assisted smartphone designed for people with low and impaired vision, will be available through speciality networks.
Mougins-France, 20/02/2014 – On the occasion of
the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, KAPSYS, the specialist in wireless
digital mobility and communications devices, announces both nationwide
distribution of its smartphone for seniors in France and the upcoming sales
launch of its smartphone for people with visual disabilities.
SmartConnect by KAPSYS will
benefit from a nationwide distribution network four months after its sales
launch in France. The French-made smartphone for seniors is now available not
only through a network of large retailers (BOULANGER) and mass market and
specialty mobile telephone service providers (CORIOLIS Telecom, MONACO Telecom, BAZILE Telecom, BUDGET Telecom,) but
also from stores with expertise in assistive technology for seniors (AMPLIFON).
Designed to be easy to
learn and easy to use, SmartConnect by KAPSYS combines a physical keypad, a
simple voice interface with command mode and dictation mode, and a touchscreen.
The phone is packed with user-friendly features. It keeps seniors of all ages
connected, provides entertainment, and helps them feel safe and secure.
Aram HEKIMIAN, Managing Director of KAPSYS,
explains:
"After the
successful launch of SmartConnect by KAPSYS in France, we plan to extend
distribution to other European countries. We are sure that this original and
intuitive smartphone will attract many senior users throughout Europe."
SmartVision by KAPSYS expands the product line of the French smartphone manufacturer, adding
a device aimed at people with low or impaired vision. Equipped with a
multi-feature voice interface and a range of touch shortcuts (accessibility
commands), SmartVision by KAPSYS
also includes many features intended to make daily life easier for people with
low or impaired vision: a digital magnifier, optical character recognition with
text-to-speech, a one-touch geolocalised emergency call button, object
identification using NFC tags, and more.
Supported by its
network of partners specialising in solutions for people with visual
disabilities, KAPSYS will begin distribution of its voice-assisted smartphone
in March of 2014.
"We are pleased
to announce that SmartVision by KAPSYS will be available starting next month. We have made good use of all our
expertise in specialised applications and adapted user interfaces in creating
this extraordinarily useful and accessible device," continues Aram
HEKIMIAN.
This marketing breakthrough will allow KAPSYS to
reaffirm its position as a European smartphone manufacturer. Created and
manufactured in France, KAPSYS products are designed to be accessible,
intuitive, and user-friendly.
The company will demonstrate its SmartConnect by KAPSYS and
SmartVision by KAPSYS
smartphones at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, to be held 24-27
February 2014 (French Pavilion, Hall 5, Square 5B61, Desk 41).
